The Mental Load of T1DM
We get it! Managing T1DM is relentless. Between constant glucose monitoring, calculating insulin doses, and balancing diet with exercise, the daily stress is real—and adapting to this reality takes time. The cognitive load on people with T1DM is great: always monitoring, problem-solving, and thinking ahead (i.e., contingency planning).
In this online study, we focus on coping with T1DM stress, adaptation to T1DM, and posttraumatic growth that can occur despite the challenge of a T1DM diagnosis. Your insights and experience can help improve support systems for the entire T1DM community.
